Unlike the heavier-duty HT model (which handles up to 4-5mm/8-gauge wire), the Standard version is optimized for wires up to 2.5mm diameter, making it ideal for everyday tasks like trimming plain or light high-tensile (HT) wire, barbed wire, or netting. It's compact, affordable, and built for durability in outdoor use.

Best for general fencing maintenance, such as cutting 2.5mm or thinner HT wire, chicken wire, or field netting in electric or stock fences. Not recommended for thicker wires—use the HT model for those to avoid tool damage.
